It sounds like it could be a few different things. Would you mind answering a few questions so I can figure out where the problem is actually occurring?

After you reset the pwclient at the office and do your work for the day what do you do when the laptop between the office and home? Do you just shut the lid? Do you go to start and shutdown, or sleep, or hibernate?

What action do you take at home before you start to work remotely? Do you have to start a VPN connection (or click any other icons) to get started?

After you take your action to work from home do you have to reset pwclient or does it just work?

What action do you take with your laptop between home and the office? Do you do the same thing as when you leave the office (shut the lid, shutdown, etc.)?

The pwclient program tries to autosense when it can. My guess is that your environment at home isn't setup to exactly mimic what you have in your office. The good news is that you're probably only a few minor changes away from fixing that problem so it will just work in both spots. With a little luck I can get your close enough to figuring out what to change by answering a few questions.

We use SoftDent at our office. I have a laptop that I carry home daily. I can't open SoftDent from the laptop without resetting pwclient, which I must do everyday. Is there a way to automate this? I assume when I go home the laptop automatically resets pwclient to a default so I can work at home, which I do not want to lose. Thanks.

Hey there

I have this running in a vhost environment and am running it with mpm-itk. Compile Apache with the mpm-itk module, and place the following into the vhost config:

AssignUserId asterisk asterisk

In Gentoo, you can add the following to make.conf:
APACHE2_MPMS="itk"

You should add a user declaration like above to every other vhost on the server, as I'm not sure at the moment if there is a default user for itk.

I'm glad to hear you were able to find this useful.

I'm curious ... if you don't mind me asking -
Was it an exiting small footprint appliance when you were done?
How was the quality on the MIPS system after you finished?
How fast was the processor?
Did you you get music on hold or conference rooms working?
